Al Gerhardstein, noted Cincinnati civil rights attorney, has donated to the University of Libraries’ Archives and Rare Books Library papers documenting his nearly 50-year career in litigation advocacy, with focuses reproductive rights, prisoner’s policing, employment discrimination, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) rights. Material extensive collection includes briefs; pleadings; depositions; trial transcriptions; newspaper, magazine, journal articles; as well correspondence speeches spanning Gerhardstein’s notable legal cases. There are 184 boxes available for research, 45 more sealed under court order.
